This site is dedicated to the memory of Giuliana Dribbell.

Giuliana Dribbell came to England from her native Italy, in 1946 with her husband Jack. During the 1960s, once her two boys were in their teens, she became involved with the Richmond committee of the RNLI, helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds over the following 50+ years. She organised the flag days, "shook a boat" when needed, sold merchandise at the RNLI stall on Fair days, and was a member of the Richmond committee for many years. She was awarded the RNLI Gold Brooch, which was presented to her after 40 years service by the President of the Richmond Committee, Bamber Gascoigne. Even after officially retiring around 2008 (at age 87), she kept a weather eye on her successors and was keenly interested in their endevours. At age 91, Giuliana died peacefully in April 2012. She was immensely proud of the RNLI, and as her immediate relatives, we have honoured her request that instead of flowers at her funeral, donations should go to the RNLI.
